John W. "Jack" Jacobs

John William “Jack” Jacobs, 88, of North Webster passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at his home. He was born on May 8, 1927 in Cleveland, OH to Walter R. & Bertha E. (Montgomery) Jacobs.

He attended Alexandria High School, Indiana University and was a United States Navy Veteran. On April 7, 1949 in Alexandria, IN he married Nina L. Cunningham who survives and retired in 1983 from General Motors in Anderson, IN as a crib attendant after 37 years. He moved to the North Webster area from Alexandria permanently in 1983 after spending  summers in North Webster since 1967.

He was a member of North Webster Church of God; American Legion Post #253 in North Webster; & former member of the American Legion in Frankton, IN.

He is survived by:

Wife – Nina Jacobs of North Webster

1 Daughter- Rhonda (Danny Anderson) Jacobs of Nashville, IN

2 Sons-John C. (Diane) Jacobs of Alexandria and Douglas W. (Peggy) Jacobs of Noblesville, IN

5 Grand & 6 Gt. Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, & 4 Brothers – Richard, Walter, Charles, and James Jacobs.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13, 2015 at Church of God, 300 N. Main St., North Webster, IN with Todd Oesch of the church officiating. Cremation will follow at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County in Warsaw, IN. Military graveside rites will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 in the Parkview Cemetery, 1101 S. Park Ave, Alexandria, IN.

Memorial bequest may be given to North Webster Church of God, P.O. Box 313, North Webster, IN 46555. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
