Jon Loren Dipert

Jon Loren Dipert, 79, of Murphy, NC (formerly of Leesburg, IN) passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at his daughter's home in Pierceton, IN. He was born on November 10, 1940 in Plymouth, IN to Raymond & Bessie A. “Arlene” (McKenzie) Dipert.

He graduated from Knox High School in Knox, IN and was married on December 31, 1960 in Warsaw, IN to Gloria Kay Smith who survives. He was formerly employed at R.R. Donnelley in Warsaw, National Inquirer in Lantana, FL, and American Color in Riveria Beach, FL.

He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Murphy NC and Palm Beach Pipe and Drums.

He is survived by:

Wife - Gloria Kay Dipert of Murphy, NC

Daughter – Nannette (Scott) Swaidner of Pierceton, IN

Daughter – Nikola Balzer of Pierceton, IN

5 Grandchildren – Mary Bradley, McKenzie Harness, Austin Balzer, Ashley Balzer, and Audrey Balzer

2 Gt. Grandchildren – Abel and Sabin Bradley

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother - Robert Dipert.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. Services will be planned at a later date. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN is in charge of arrangements.

Preferred memorials may be given to the Murphy Presbyterian Church, 252 Valley River Dr., Murphy NC 28906.
