Joseph Darrell Andres, known by most as “Darrell,” passed away quietly on Sunday, November 20, 2016 in his Warsaw, Indiana home.
Darrell was born on February 27, 1965 in Carencro, Louisiana. Born into a large family, he was the son of James Davis Andres and Eunice (Roy) Andres who preceded him in passing.
Darrell attended Carencro High School in Carencro, Louisiana; he spent much of his childhood in nearby Lafayette.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator in both paving and construction. This work eventually led him to jobs in Florida and Indiana where he eventually made his home.
On August 10, 2012, he was married to Sarah McFarland whom he had taken an interest in years earlier. She survives in Warsaw.
Darrell liked to fish and loved to cook; even earning the nickname “cook” from his friends and family as he was known for his delicious foods – especially his Creole specialties. He was kind, gentle and always smiling. He loved to dance, laugh and enjoyed picking on people.
Above all, Darrell was a great father who loved his daughters and family.
In addition to his wife, Sarah, those left behind to cherish his memory include two daughters: Kattie McFarland and Maddisen McFarland, both of Warsaw; six siblings: Pauline Andres, David Andres, Edward Louis Andres, Linda Lemella, Janet Andres, and Chad Celistine, all from Louisiana; and a large extended family.
Those who preceded him in death include his parents, James and Eunice Andres, and five siblings: Beverly Godbold, Melva Angelle, Lisa Andres, Diane Roy, and Melven Andres.
