Joseph A. “Joe” Harris, 64, of Pierceton, IN passed away at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at his home. He was born on June 19, 1947 in Fort Wayne, IN to William J. & Elsie (Wagoner) Harris.
He was a lifetime area resident, attended North Webster High School and graduated from Wolf Lake High School.  He was a United States Army Veteran, served during the Vietnam War and was married October 3, 1970 in Fort Wayne to Phyllis D. Knox who survives.
He was owner / operator of Accur-Cut Machine Company in North Webster for 39 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster & V.F.W. Post 1342 in Syracuse and a former member of the North Webster Snow Mobile Club.
He is survived by:
Wife – Phyllis Harris of Pierceton
Daughter – Mrs. Martin (Tanya) Johnson of Delaware, OH
Son – Kevin Harris of Fort Wayne
5 Grandchildren – Jacob, Megan, Brandon, Erin, & Nathan
Brother – James “Jim” (wife, Sandy) Harris of North Webster
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister – Billie Sue Baker
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the North Webster Cemetery (Mock Addition) with Rev. Jimmie Holloman officiating. Military rites will be performed by the North Webster American Legion Post 253.

Memorial bequest may be given to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, 6316 Mutual Dr., Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
