Joy E. Nolan, 74, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse. She was born on December 1, 1936 in Maples, IN to Fred & Opal (Worden) Nolan.
She was a lifetime area resident except for 5 years she lived in Lake Wales, Florida and graduated in 1954 from Syracuse High School. She retired in 1999 from Johnson Controls in Goshen after 26 years and was formerly employed at Weatherhead Corp. in Syracuse for 13 years and Syracuse Rubber Company for 3 years.
She is survived by:
2 Sisters – Peggy Felts of Syracuse & Charlotte Nolan of Ocala, FL
Brother – Ned (wife, Nina) Nolan of Monroe, NC
Several Nieces & Nephews
Beloved dog – Choey
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister – Alice Scarbeary, brother – Richard Nolan, & nephew Chris Scarbeary.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
