Juanita Condinho (Harmon)

Juanita Condinho passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana. Juanita was 81 at the time of her passing.

Born on January 19, 1935 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Henry and Haley (Meade) Harmon.

On August 29, 1977 Juanita was married to Edwin Condinho in Cecil County, Maryland. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1993.

Juanita had worked at Waltham Hospital in Waltham, Massachusetts. It was there she retired after 22 years of continuous service.

She loved dogs and had a special relationship with each of her own. She enjoyed gardening and was especially fond of roses. She also loved to bake and cook, often sharing her efforts with others.

Juanita is survived by a large family which includes two daughters: Charlene Grindle of North Manchester, Indiana and Ilene Grindle of Fort Wayne, Indiana; step-daughter: Dianna Shoffner of Warsaw; step-son: Joseph (and wife Tracey) Condinho of Warsaw; two brothers: Thomas Harmon of Warsaw and Larry (wife Deb) Harmon of rural Wabash County, Indiana; and two sisters: Sylvia (husband Delmer) Whitaker of Warsaw and Bessie Frazier of Warsaw. Also surviving is a large extended family.

In addition to her husband, Edwin Condinho, Juanita was preceded in passing by a brother: James Harmon; five sisters: Julia Baldridge, Ella Rose Harmon, Wanda Cox, Helen Korb, and Edna Baldridge; and two step-sisters: Ann Holdren and Pauline Golliver.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street in Warsaw.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Juanita Condinho will take place at 1 p.m. in the funeral home; Pastor Dave Hummel will officiate. Burial will be in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery.

The family has asked that gifts in Juanita’s memory be made to Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, PO BOX 1196 Warsaw, IN 46581-1196.
