June Marie Vanator, previously of Leesburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 in Dekalb Health, Auburn, Indiana. She was 84 at the time of her death.
June was born to Larry H. and Violet (Little) “Gomar” Gommadinger on November 6, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was a graduate of Leesburg High School and a former member of Leesburg United Methodist Church in Leesburg. She was also formerly a member at New Horizon Church in Winona Lake, Indiana.
Although she retired in 2009, June worked in the mailroom at The Papers, Inc., Milford, Indiana for many years.
June was a simple, caring woman who would sacrifice of herself to help others. She loved nature and being with her family.
Those who survive include her two children: son, Kane Kingrey of Largo, Florida and daughter, Tacey (Roger) Tracy of Crestview, Florida and six grandchildren: Cary (Amanda) Kingrey, Dustin (Brittany) Heldenbrand, Derek (Candy) Tracy, Devin (Christine) Heldenbrand, Misty Tracy and Ayrielle (Shane) Shepherd. Also surviving are 19 great-grandchildren.
Those who preceded June in death include her parents, Larry and Violet Gommadinger, and husband, Richard Vanator June 15, 1997.
A graveside service honoring the life of June Vanator will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 11 am in Leesburg Cemetery, 653 West 675 North, Leesburg, Indiana. Pastor Dave Hummel will officiate the service.
