Karen J. Hill, of Warsaw, passed away at Mason Health and Rehabilitation on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the age of 72. On January 10, 1950, she was born in Warren, OH, the only daughter of the late Richard and Shirley (Finlay) Alm. She worked as transportation secretary for Kosciusko Area Bus Service. On August 24, 2007, she married Gary Hill.
A green thumb, Karen held an intense joy for gardening. She proudly held the title of Master Gardener and often volunteered in a wide range of community garden projects, participated in demonstration garden shows, and traveled to numerous educational conferences. Karen also enjoyed watching the birds in her own gardens, bowling, donating to the Animal Welfare League, and spending time with her family and cats.
Karen will be deeply missed by her husband, Gary; son, Darren Heinzman; grandson, Dylan Heinzman; brother, Richard Alm; and numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw, is entrusted with Karen’s care. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00am. The memorial service will immediately follow with the Rev. William Whitaker officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Animal Welfare League, 1048 S 325 E, Pierceton, IN 46562.
