Kasey Dawn LaRue, 53, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 5:00 PM in her Warsaw, Indiana home.
Born September 24, 1961 in Warsaw, she was the daughter of Douglas D. and Irene Rose (Riggens) Kahler.
She attended Warsaw Community Schools and was a lifetime Warsaw resident.
Kasey was a machine operator at Biomet, Inc. for the past 2 years. She had worked for Warsaw Orthopedic (now Medtronic) for 16 years. She was dedicated to her work.
Kasey loved the Lord. She was known to crave chocolate and enjoyed working puzzles and fishing. She loved her horse, Ajax, and her dogs, Tanner and Copper. Kasey loved to write and enjoyed all kinds of music. She was the rock of her family and adored her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed – especially by her loving family including 2 daughters and a son-in-law: Amber and Ethan Miller, South Whitley, Indiana; and Ellen LaRue of Claypool, Indiana; a son: Garrett LaRue of Elwood, Pennsylvania; 9 grandchildren; 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law: Lucinda L. Kahler, Warsaw; Ruth and David Mast, Nappanee, Indiana; and Kristal and Greg Prater of North Manchester, Indiana; brother: Douglas C. Kahler of Carbondale, Illinois; as well as her nieces and nephews.
Kasey was preceded in death by her parents: Douglas D. Kahler (March 10, 2005) and mother: Irene Rose Kahler (August 5, 2014).
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing memories in support of each other Tuesday, January 20th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. A service celebrating Kasey’s life will take place Wednesday, January 21st at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Pastor Mike Silliman of Grace Community Church, Goshen, Indiana will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in Kasey’s memory be given to Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, PO Box 1906, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1906.
