Katherine C. Yoder, 79, of Milford, IN passed away at 1:50 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC. She was born on August 7, 1933 in Syracuse, IN to Jonas Russell & Mary A. (Droke) Kistler.

She was a lifetime Kosciusko County area resident and attended Syracuse Public Schools. On March 14, 1951 in Crewe, VA she married Omer E. Yoder who survives. She was a homemaker and retired in 2001 as a dietary aid at Goshen General Hospital.

She was a member of the Open Bible Baptist Church at Barbee Lake.

She is survived by:
Husband – Omer Yoder of Milford
2 Daughters – Kathy Johnson of Goshen & Mrs. (Elbert) Marijane Campbell
of Hiddenite, NC
1 Son – Omer “Gene” (wife, Lisa) Yoder of New Paris
8 Grand & 12 Gt. Grandchildren
1 Sister – Martha Melcher of Poteet, TX
2 Brothers – Nelson (wife, Jean) Kistler of Milford & George (wife, Linda) Kistler of Auburn

She was preceded by her parents, son – Robert Yoder, grandson - Roger Yoder, and 2 brothers – Claude & Stanley Kistler.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN and ½ hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January, 11, 2013 at the Open Bible Baptist Church, 21 EMS B61, Warsaw, IN (Barbee, IN) with Pastor Sam Carns of the church officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Pierceton.

Memorial bequest may be given to the Open Bible Baptist Church, 21 EMS B61, Warsaw, IN 46580. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
