Katherine J. Deerwester

Katherine J. Deerwester, 83, of Warsaw, IN, passed away at 2:04 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at her residence. She was born on October 21, 1936 in Bourbon, IN to Russell and Iva (Starrett) Rule.

She graduated from Warsaw High School and was married on April 6, 1958 to William T. “Bill” Deerwester who preceded her on April 27, 2014. She formerly worked as a bookkeeper for Schrader’s in Warsaw and Hoffman Brothers in South Bend, IN and was a member of the Moderne Homemaker’s Club in Warsaw. She was a lifetime Warsaw area resident.

She is survived by:

2 Sons – Dan Deerwester of Warsaw & David (Renata) Deerwester of Columbia City, IN

7 Grandchildren & 6 Gt. Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers – Charlie Rule & Richard Rule, and sister – Mary Thommes.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN 46582 is in charge of arrangements.
