Kathleen J. "Kathy" Siwy

Kathleen J. "Kathy" Siwy, 67, of New Paris, IN (formerly of Syracuse, IN) passed away at 6:15 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse, IN. She was born on July 24, 1951 in East Chicago, IN to Gus & Lela Belle (McCormick) Getz.

She grew up in Hammond, IN and graduated from Hammond High School. She was a self-employed poultry producer & veteran assistant for many years. She lived in Arkansas for several years, moved to Syracuse in 1995, and then to New Paris 2 years ago.

She is survived by:

3 Sons – Jacob (Coraya) Siwy of New Paris, Adam (Chad) Siwy of Indianapolis, and Inta (Kenna) Khamsourivong of Goshen

3 Grandchildren

2 Sisters – Pam Sullivan of TN & Peggy Getz of Indianapolis

Brother – Michael Getz of TX

She was preceded in death by her parents & sister – Rosie Kritikos.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. No public services are planned. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St. Syracuse, IN is in charge of arrangements.

Preferred memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
