Biography
Kathryn Irene Bouse, known to most at “Katy,” passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016 in her Warsaw, Indiana home. She was 91 years old.
Katy was born on July 6, 1925 in Warsaw to Robert L. and Lillie (McSherry) Chinworth. She spent most of her lifetime in Warsaw and graduated from Warsaw High School with the class of 1943.
Katy was united in marriage to Forrest W. Bouse on September 22, 1946 in Warsaw. The two shared many memories and 58 years before his death on June 8th, 2005.
Katy had worked for the Kosciusko County Assessor’s Office for twenty years and was a longtime member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Atwood. She was a fifty-year member of The Order of the Eastern Star.
Those who survive her include two sisters, Dora Jane Engle of Warsaw and Elizabeth Ann Holt of Marion, Indiana.
Katy was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest W. Bouse (June 8, 2005); son, Rodney Bouse (March 2, 2012); three brothers: John Chinworth (December 20, 1979), Robert Chinworth (October 21, 1944) and Wallace Chinworth (September 1975) and one sister, Margaret Garman (May 10, 2012).
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw. A funeral service which celebrates Katy’s life will follow, beginning at 1 p.m. with Pastor Terry Bradford of First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County officiating. Burial will take Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery.
