Kenneth Murl Gunter passed away on Saturday, June 24th at 4:21 PM in his Warsaw, Indiana home. He was 79 years old.
Born on February 18, 1938 in Columbia City, Kenneth was the son of Elmer and Thelda May (Wise) Gunter. He was a 1956 graduate of Claypool High School.
Kenneth was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, having served in Vietnam. More personally, he loved to fish and liked fixing up rental properties.
Kenneth and Mary Susanne Hall were united in marriage on November 11, 1997 in Monterey, California. She survives in Warsaw.
Additional survivors include his step-son, Jhonathan (Stella) Seitner of Silver Lake, three brothers: Richard Gunter of Warsaw, Marvin (Judy) Gunter of Warsaw and Herbert (Jeannie) Gunter of North Manchester, Indiana.
Preceding him in death are three siblings: sister, Eva Gunter and brothers, Donny Gunter and Gordon Gunter.
Kenneth will be interred at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Claypool with a graveside service Friday, June 30th, beginning at 1 PM. Reverend Dave Hummel will officiate the service with military graveside honors conducted by members of Warsaw’s American Legion, Post 49 and of VFW, Post 1126.
Those wishing to express their sympathy are encouraged to give to a charity of the donor’s choosing. Alternately, simple acts of kindness may be done for others.
