Kenneth M. Perkins, Sr. passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 at 5:35 PM in Canterbury Nursing and Rehab in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was 75.
Kenneth was born February 4, 1940 in Hazard, Kentucky to James Thomas and Mary Jane (King) Perkins. He was a high school graduate.
Kenneth served during the Korean War with the United States Army.
He lived in Warsaw for 25 years having moved from Kentucky. He was a mechanic.
Survivors include 3 children - 2 sons: Kenneth “Monty” Perkins, Jr., Warsaw; and Bob (and Tammy) Perkins, Fort Wayne and 1 daughter: Mary Perkins, Warsaw; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; 6 sisters: Christine Lloyd, Beattyville, Kentucky, Irene (and Kenny) Riley, Garrett, Indiana; Darlene (and Harry) Riley of Auburn, Indiana; Marilyn (and Walter) Couch, LaFontaine, Indiana, Elaine Beck, Auburn; and Tina (and Ray) Lawson, Auburn; 2 brothers: Jerry Lee (and Marilyn) Perkins of Nicholasville, Kentucky; and Lloyd Perkins of Fort Wayne.
Kenneth was preceded in passing by his wife: Sandra Perkins on November 23, 2010, daughter: Evelyn “Tina” Hyde, January 25, 2010, son: Albert Maples, 2001; parents: James and Mary Jane Perkins; 3 sisters: Lyda Ruth Perkins, Lorraine Perkins and Helen Perkins.
A graveside service will be held Monday, December 7th at 11 AM in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Pastor Justin Couch (nephew) will officiate.
