Biography
Kenneth R. Whitaker passed away quietly on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 6:50 a.m. in his Warsaw, Indiana home. He was 63 at the time of his passing.
Although he has been a long-time Warsaw resident, Kenneth was born on August 29, 1953 to Lillian Faye Whitaker in Rensselaer, Indiana. He worked as a shop attendant in Conley’s Barber Shops.
Kenneth loved Chicago Cubs baseball and Pepsi Cola. He was an admirer of all things military and even visited Camp Atterbury once. He was a man of Faith who enjoyed going to Church; he equally enjoyed time spent outdoors. Kenneth liked to watch old westerns and visit Magical Meadows.
He is survived by a brother, David Ritchie; uncle, Jack (Patricia) Whitaker of Rensselaer, Indiana and aunt, Lilly Mae Madison, also of Rensselaer. His mother, Lillian Faye (Whitaker) Floyd, and step-father, Arthur Floyd, preceded him in passing.
Friends may pay their respects and share memories in a time of visitation on Friday, May 19th from 1 to 2 p.m. in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw. A funeral service will follow, beginning at 2 p.m. with Pastor Carl Adam of Spirit of Faith Fellowship officiating.
