Kenneth J. "Kenny John" Simmons

Kenneth J. “Kenny John” Simmons, 37, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on February 5, 1981 in Providence, RI to Kenneth J. and Linda S. (Ford) Simmons.

He graduated from East Providence High School in East Providence, RI and served in the United States Army for six years, deploying to both Iraq and Afghanistan.  He was married on October 15, 2012 in Oklahoma City, OK in to Keithsha Williams who survives.  He moved to the Fort Wayne area one year ago from Missouri.

He is survived by:

Wife – Keithsha Simmons of Harlingen, TX

Son – Kenneth Simmons of Massachusetts

Mother – Linda DeCarvalho of Fort Wayne

2 Sisters – Laura DeCosta of Fort Wayne & Elsie (Jim) McGinn of Pawtucket, RI

Brother – David Simmons of Woonsocket, RI

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse.  Military honors will follow at 7:00 p.m.

Preferred memorials may be given the Kenneth J. Simmons Funeral Fund, c/o Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St, Syracuse, IN 46567.
