Kenny D. Goodyear, age 68, passed away unexpectedly at home on October 22, 2023. He was born on February 18, 1955, in Nashville, TN. Kenny was a hard worker and dedicated employee; he worked for MIDAS in Indianapolis for nearly 20 years when he was younger. Most recently, he worked for the Town of Syracuse in the Street and Water Departments.
Kenny was a man of many talents and interests. He had a good sense of humor but remained humble throughout his life. His friends and family remember him for his good sense of humor. Kenny had a passion for hunting and anything outdoors. He particularly loved NASCAR racing, with Dale Earnhardt being his favorite driver. He was a natural handyman and could fix most anything. However, nothing brought him more joy than the companionship of his beloved cat, Mr. Cat.
Family was an important aspect of Kenny's life. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Goodyear of Cromwell; three children: daughter, Jamie (Anthony) Goodyear of Indianapolis, son, Zach (Chelsea) Goodyear of Cromwell, and son, Jon (Bridgett) Goodyear of North Webster; grandson, Wyatt Goodyear and two sisters, Amy Taylor and Sharon Foltz. He was blessed to have a bonus family in his stepchildren: Charles Dippon, Chad Dippon, and Crista (Jason) Garman along with several step grandchildren.
Kenny is also preceded in passing by his mother, Irene Beaven; sister, Nancy Long and brothers, John Rittenberry and Thomas Goodyear.
