Kurt K. Kruger, 66, of Cromwell, IN passed away at 2:29 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020 at his home. He was born on March 16, 1953 in Warsaw, IN to Loren & Betty (Barker) Kruger.
He graduated from Wawasee High School in 1971 and was a lifetime Kosciusko / Noble County area resident. He formerly owned and operated Kruger’s Jewelry in Ligonier, Goshen, & Elkhart, IN and Cruiser’s in North Webster, IN. He was a talented musician and played with many local bands, including Short Term Memories, The Relics, and The Night Shift.
He was a member of the Clunette United Methodist Church in Clunette, IN and the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster.
He is survived by:
Daughter – Keri (Adam) Whitmer of North Manchester, IN
2 Sons – Kurt (Jennifer) Kruger Jr. of Pierceton, IN and Chad (Rachel) Kruger of Silver Lake, IN
6 Grandchildren – Annika Whitmer, Hunter Dillon, Evan Kruger, Tarren Kruger, Elise Kruger, & Kaylee Kruger
Sister – Kay (Yut) Promkhieo of North Webster
Fiancé – Linda Ozier of Claypool, IN
He was preceded in death by his parents and son – Kris Kruger.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500N, North Webster. A memorial service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2020 in the funeral home with Rev. Dudley W. Waites officiating.
