Larry Jefferies

Larry Reed Jefferies, formerly of Claypool, Indiana, passed away peacefully at Grace Village Retirement Center in Winona Lake Indiana on Tuesday, August 30, 2016.
Larry was born to Arnold R. and Lucille J. (Drudge) Jefferies on October 16, 1937. He was one of five children. Larry graduated from Claypool High School with the class of 1956.
Larry and Sue Edington were united in marriage on October 26, 1958 in Warsaw, Indiana. Together they shared many happy memories and welcomed the beginnings of a family which includes their two daughters – Laura and Aimee.
Larry spent his lifetime in Kosciusko County and had worked as a serviceman for NIPSCO in Warsaw. He retired in 1999 with 50 years of service to the company.
He was a member of the Pleasant View Bible Church where he was an interpreter for the deaf. He was also a church youth leader for AWANA and a long-time member of the Claypool Lions Club.
In addition to Sue, Larry’s wife of 57 years, his passing leaves behind two daughters: Laura (and husband, Ken) Schue and Aimee (and husband, Bob) Hartwiger all of Warsaw; four granddaughters: Mandy (and husband, Bret) Walters of Warsaw, Carol (and husband, Mark) Simmons of Leesburg, Indiana, Brittany (and husband, Jake) Herendeen of Barbee Lake, Indiana and Abbey Hartwiger of Warsaw; 2 great-grandchildren: Delaney and Cooper Walters at home and a brother, Terry Jefferies of Center Point, Indiana.
Those who preceded Larry in death include his parents: Arnold R. Jefferies and Lucille J. (Jefferies) Clase; a brother, Robert Jefferies and three sisters: Doris Wiltrout, Barbara Snider and Pat Haddon.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, September 1st from 4 to 8 p.m. in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw.
A funeral service celebrating Larry’s life will take place on Friday, September 2nd at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Pastor Ryan Petgen and Chaplain Richard Anderson will officiate the service with burial taking place at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that memorial gifts be directed to Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, PO Box 1196, Warsaw, IN 46581.
