Larry A. Barrett

Larry Allen Barrett, 75, of North Webster, IN passed away at 1:20 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2020 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, IN. He was born on April 4, 1945 in Chicago Heights, IL to Norman V. & Alice A. (Kieper) Barrett.

He graduated in 1963 from Bloom Township High School in Chicago Heights and moved to the North Webster area in 1965 from Chicago Heights, IL. He was married on July 30, 1976 in Columbia City, IN to Sharon Marie (Galbreath) Lawrence who preceded him on January 27, 2017. He retired from Dana Corporation (formerly Weatherhead) in Columbia City after 34 years.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster, former member of the North Webster Fire Dept & Lakeland Snowmobile Club, and was raised in the Lutheran Church.

He is survived by:

Son - Tim (Kathryn Loehr) Barrett of North Webster

Step Daughter – Sherri Conley of Cromwell

Step Son – Michael Lawrence of Milford

6 Grand & 4 Gt. Grandchildren

3 Sisters - Bonnie Wisdom of CA, Beverly (Stanley) Anderson of Steger, IL, and Noriene Jones of Leesburg

Step Sister – Denise (Jeff) Lanman of Lewisville, IN

2 Step Brothers – Danny (Teresa) Barrett of Middletown, IN & Duane (Mary) Barrett of Mishawaka, IN

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother – Barrie Barrett.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 on Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Danny Barrett officiating. Burial will take place in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
