Larry A. Thomas, 83, of Warsaw, IN passed away at 8:42 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on June 22, 1938 in Warsaw, IN to Max & Frances (Reese) Thomas.
He graduated in 1956 from Atwood High School and was a lifetime Atwood / Warsaw area resident. He was married on December 22, 1956 in Atwood, IN to June E. Haney who survives. He retired as the owner / operator of Sugar Hill Trucking in Warsaw after several years and formerly drove truck for General Electric for 15 years.
He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Atwood.
He is survived by:
Wife – June Thomas of Warsaw
2 Daughters – Anitra (Gerry) Hicks of Leesburg & Rachele (Jim) McKenzie of Atlanta
Son – Phillip (Shelly) Thomas of North Manchester
8 Grandchildren – Carrie, Marc, Stacey, Nick, Todd, Sam, Abby, and Katie
13 Gt. Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 306 E. Main St., Atwood, IN. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021 in the church with Pastor’s James McKibbin & David Banning officiating. Private burial will take place in the Oakwood Cemetery.
