Lenord Nicholson Sr.

Lenord E. Nicholson, Sr., age 78 of Warsaw, passed away at 9:55 a.m. on Monday October 26, 2020 in Warsaw at Kosciusko Community Hospital.

Born to Frank O.S. and Dorothea A. (Christensen) Nicholson on July 9, 1942 in Sicklerville, New Jersey, Lenord spent much of his early life on the east coast. He spent many years as a volunteer firefighter for the Waterford New Jersey Fire Department.

For the past twenty-six years, his family has made their home in Warsaw where he was a longtime member of Touch of Life Church. He enjoyed family time and liked many types of food. He loved the Lord and helping around the church. He also enjoyed music and dancing, even appearing on American Bandstand in his youth. He was retired from Kimble Glass (Owens-Illinois).

On June 8, 1963, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Gross; she preceded him in passing as did a daughter-in-law, Annette “Netters”; and his brothers: Frank, Carl, Happy, Johnny and an infant brother. He is survived by three children: sons, Mikey and Lenord Jr. (Wendy) and daughter, Barb (Andy) - all of Warsaw; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three sisters: Christine “Chris,” Janice and Kathy.

Titus Funeral Home is assisting the family. Friends may join them at Touch of Life Church, 2339 W Old Rd 30, Warsaw on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until the Noon service. Pastor Rick Cooper will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
