Lester W. "Bud" Stabler

Lester W. “Bud” Stabler, 91, of North Webster, IN passed away at 10:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse, IN. He was born on January 2, 1921 in Syracuse to Arnold & Blanche (Wilkinson) Stabler.

He graduated from New Paris High School and was a WWII Army Veteran. On June 6, 1941 in Syracuse he married Ethel Mary Niles, who preceded him on March 28, 1991.  He was a farmer and member of the North Webster Church of God.

He is survived by:
2 Daughters – Brenda (spouse, Rick) Hamman of North Webster & Trudy Ann Smith of Georgia
7 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, & several great great grandchildren
Sister – Ellie Hall of Florida

He was preceded by his parents, wife, & brother – Raymond Stabler

Visitation will be on Monday June 18, 2012 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will be on Tuesday June 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of God, 302 N. Main St. North Webster with Pastor Jeff Boyer officiating. Burial will follow in Solomon Creek Cemetery.

Memorial bequest may be given to Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice, P O Box 1196, Warsaw, IN 46581. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
