Letha B. Werstler, 83, of Pierceton, IN passed away at 2:04 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on November 5, 1926 in Marion, IN to Leslie H. & Emma Z. (Wolfe) Wagoner.
She lived most of her life in the North Webster / Pierceton area and graduated in 1944 from North Webster High School. She was married on September 13, 1953 in Warsaw, IN to John J. “Buster” Werstler who preceded her on August 7, 2010. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the family farm. She was formerly employed at Lindley Box in Marion and Blue Bell in Columbia City.
She is survived by:
Sister – Mary Burns of Marion
Brother – Merritt (wife, Mary Jane) Wagoner of Gas City
Several nieces and nephews
She was preceded by her parents, husband, sisters – Elsie Harris & Martha Burnworth,
& brothers – Audrey, Mervin, Burr, Don, & Billy Wagoner
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Owen Family
Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will follow at
1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Tinkel, retired First Brethren Church minister officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Memorial bequest may be given to Donor’s Choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
