Linda Sue Allen, 70, passed away on the evening of Tuesday, September 19th in Fort Wayne’s Parkview Randallia Hospital.
Born on July 30, 1947 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Richard and Myrtle Irene (Perry) Hyden. Although born in Kentucky, she was a longtime resident of Kosciusko County.
On July 1, 1969, Linda and Luther Harvey Allen were united in marriage in Warsaw. They would share 47 years together before his passing.
Linda had retired from Dalton Foundry in 2012; a 37-year employee, she retired as a core finisher. Linda loved her cats and watching General Hospital on television. She enjoyed reading the newspaper, People Magazine and the tabloids. She also enjoyed working on hidden object puzzles.
Although she touched the lives of many, a list of survivors include her daughter, Deborah Allen of Pierceton; two brothers, Frank (Chris) Hyden of Warsaw and Charles Hyden of Florida and sister, Linda Faye Hurd of Warsaw. She is also survived by several close friends including Paul Starr, Bryan Starr, Kaylee Owens and Kyle Owens.
Linda was preceded in passing by her husband, Luther Harvey Allen on January 24, 2017; sister, Ann Mathews and her parents.
Friends and family may gather at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sherdian Street, Warsaw, on Monday, September 25th from 10 to Noon. A funeral service which celebrates Linda’s life will begin at Noon with burial following in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery. Pastor Terry Bradford of First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County will officiate.
