Linda Smith (Keirn)

Linda Diane Smith, 73 of rural Warsaw, passed away quietly at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 2:58 a.m.

The daughter of Murray and Vivian (Barnhart) Keirn, Linda was born in Warsaw and spent her formative years in South Whitley. She was previously employed by Gatke Corporation and was a longtime employee of Warsaw Walmart where she managed the shoe department.

Linda loved animals of all kinds and especially watching the birds. She enjoyed flowers, fishing and visiting various state parks, especially Turkey Run. Truly, she enjoyed most anything outdoors. She was strong willed and independent but also very caring and loving.

On August 3, 2004 Linda and Steven Smith were married, blending two families into one. Steven survives at home. Also surviving are two daughters, Diane (Jeff) Hathaway of Silver Lake and April (Jeremy) Fisher of Warsaw; stepson, Michael (Deb) Smith of New Paris; stepdaughter, Melody (Sam) Hedington of Claypool; stepson, Troy (Deb) Smith of Winona Lake; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Phil (Jeanne) Keirn and Tom (Liz) Keirn and sister, Judy Brunner. She was preceded in passing by her parents.

Warsaw’s Titus Funeral Home is entrusted with Linda’s care. Private interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
