Lisa A. Rivera

Lisa A. Rivera, of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the age of 61.

Born in Cuero, Texas on October 19, 1960, she was one of the children of Ismael and Amalia Diaz Renteria. She married Paul Rivera in Cuero on December 22, 1984. Together they spent over 35 years before his passing in January of 2021. Both Paul and Lisa were members of Word of Truth Ministries in Milford for many years.

Lisa was a great wife, mother, and sister. She truly cared about everyone she knew and was well loved by all. Her kind spirit drew her to spending time caring for children. She took in several children and raised them as her own. She enjoyed puzzles, sewing, cooking, and shopping. Most of all, Lisa treasured the time spent with her family, especially when it came to family movie night.

Those who survive with broken hearts include her son, Steve Rivera; her siblings, Diana Johnson, Walter Renteria, and Jason Renteria; “sisters”, Becky, Phyllis, and Katie; and special friends, Brandon, Tanna and Ka’Shaun. She is further survived by many extended family member and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Paul.
