Lois V. Kinder passed away quietly on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 10:55 a.m. in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. Age 90 at the time of her death, she was a longtime area resident.
Born Lois Bright on December 15, 1928, she was the daughter of Clifford Bright and Marie (Slabaugh) Bright. She was one of three children and a graduate of Akron High School. Her parents and siblings – sister, Velma Bright and brother, Verle Bright all preceded her in passing.
Friendly and hardworking, Lois enjoyed time spent with friends and family. She had worked at both Kosciusko Community Hospital and Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center as a dietary aide. She was a Christian who knew and loved the Lord and she attended Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church for many years. She also previously attended Akron Church of God.
On August 4, 1950, Lois was married to Bill E. Kinder. Together the two shared nearly forty-five years before his 1994 passing. To their union two children were born. Son, Gary Kinder passed away in 2013 and daughter, Kay (husband, Chuck) Hershberger survive in Silver Lake. Also surviving are granddaughter Rachel Hershberger; grandson, Jeremy (wife, Jennifer) Kinder and seven great-grandchildren.
Lois’ life will be celebrated at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw. Visitation will be on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 4 to 6 p.m. A graveside service will take place on Saturday in Akron Cemetery at 3 p.m.
