Lois Ruth Poe passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana.
Lois was born July 27, 1952 in Plymouth, Indiana to Lewis and Betty (Dare) Hite.
She was a Warsaw resident and had worked for Wabash Valley for 13 years.
Lois enjoyed reading, sewing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a daughter: Angela Barker and her companion, David Zolman, Warsaw and her son, Frankie Poe, Warsaw. Also surviving are 3 sisters and brothers-in-law: Lella and David Holbrook, Warsaw; Suzanne and Larry Hyden, Mentone, Indiana; and Barbara and Dick Ault of Akron, Indiana; a brother and sister-in-law: Bob and Connie Hite, Akron; former husband: Frank Poe, Warsaw; 1 granddaughter and 3 grandsons: Danielle Barker, Brenden Wolfe, Cameron Wolfe and Tommy Poe – all of Warsaw; and a great granddaughter: Alayzia Poe, at home.
Lois was preceded in death by her father: Lewis Hite (October 22, 1987); mother: Betty Hite (April 21, 2008); sister: Betty Hite (September 28, 1983); 4 brothers: Sam Hite (September 24, 1997), Bill Hite (July 24, 1979), David Hite (September 18, 2001) and John Hite (September 29, 1994).
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing memories Thursday, April 14th from 4-8 PM in TITUS FUNERAL HOME, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. A service to celebrate Lois’ life will take place Friday at 1:00 p.m. in First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, 58 W. 700S, Claypool, Indiana 46510.
The family has asked that gifts in Lois’ memory be directed to First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County (Youth Ministry).
