Lois M. Richey, 79, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 at 4:30 PM in her Leesburg, Indiana home.
Born April 11, 1936 in Ney, Ohio, she was the daughter of Richard and Juanita (Thomas) Mack. She was a 1954 graduate of Butler (IN) High School.
On September 15, 1955, she and Leo Richey were married in Angola, Indiana. He survives.
Lois lived most of her life in Kosciusko County and was secretary for the Pepsi-Cola Warsaw Plant for 10 years retiring in 1977.
She was a member of VFW Women’s Auxiliary and North Webster American Legion Auxiliary Post 258. She was a member of the Warsaw Bowling Association and had been inducted into its Hall of Fame. Lois enjoyed shuffle board. She loved to fish and hunt as well as crochet. She was an avid NASCAR fan – especially followed Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. She enjoyed watching birds and being around flowers.
In addition to her husband of nearly 60 years, Lois is survived by 2 sons and a daughter-in-law: Larry and Sue Richey, Leesburg; and Matt Richey, Warsaw, Indiana; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Faith and Matt Kirkendall and Juanita and Gale Danner – all of Warsaw; 9 grandchildren: Eric, Roger, Shanna, Chantelle, Nellie, Alexis, Amber, Samantha and Emma; 21 great grandchildren; 3 great, great grandchildren; 1 brother: Tom Mack of St. Joseph, Indiana; and 2 sisters and brother-in-laws: Bobbi and Joe Crager of Waterloo, Indiana and Chris and Max Baughman of Butler, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Frank Mack, Mike Mack, Ronald Mack and Dick Mack; and 1 sister: Diane Kunce.
Family and friends will gather Monday, May 18th from 11:00 AM – 12:00 noon at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580 to share memories as they comfort one another. A service celebrating the life of Lois M. Richey will follow beginning at 12:00 noon. Pastor Bob Jarboe, Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice chaplain will officiate.
The family has asked that gifts in Lois’ memory be directed to Mad Anthony’s Hope House, 7922 W. Jefferson Blvd., Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804.
