Lora Chapman, age 83 of Warsaw, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 6:50 a.m. in Grace Village Assisted Living, Winona Lake.
Born Lora Lea Binkley on October 12, 1937 in Derby, OH, she was the daughter of Smith and Ruth (Fast) Binkley. She graduated from Central High School in downtown Columbus with the class of 1955. In November of that same year, she was united in marriage to Floyd Theodore Chapman; known, to most as “Ted,” her husband survives in Winona Lake.
Lora was a loving, caring person with a true talent for embroidery, making quilts for grandchildren and special friends. She enjoyed travelling and reading, especially mysteries and thrillers. Nothing was more important to Lora than her family and her faith - she attended Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church.
Those who survive with memories to cherish include her husband, Ted Chapman of Winona Lake and their daughters: Beverly Rogers of South Bend, Deb (Jim) Fivecoate of Mentone and Joy (David) Rieke of Plano, IL; son, David (Gail) Chapman of Warsaw; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are Lora’s sister, Jean (Jim) Matheny and brother, Kenneth (Jean) Binkley. She was preceded in passing by her son-in-law, Larry Rogers and her parents.
Titus Funeral Home is assisting the family with private interment in Oakwood Cemetery. A memorial service is being planned though date and time of the service have not been announced.
