Lydia O. Burnett passed away on October 12, 2023, at her son's home in Wabash, Indiana. She was born on February 7, 1925, in Rome, Italy to a loving family. Lydia was the youngest sibling and is survived by her two sons: Casey O. (Rosanne) Burnett of Justice, IL and John (Cindy) Burnett of Orland Park, IL. She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Laura, Amanda, Crystal, Ross, and Johnathon, as well as four great-grandchildren: Joshua, Katherine, John, and Natalie. She was preceded in passing by her husband, Casey N. Burnett and by each of her siblings - she was the youngest of them.

Lydia dedicated her career to the art of sewing and was a skilled seamstress. She spent most of her career working in Italian Suits and even had the opportunity to work on a suit for the legendary actor John Wayne. Her attention to detail and craftsmanship were highly admired by all those who had the pleasure of wearing her creations.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lydia will be remembered for her warm and kind-hearted nature. She had a genuine love for people and rarely knew a stranger. Her ability to make others feel welcome and valued was one of her greatest gifts. Lydia's compassion extended not only to her family but also to everyone she encountered throughout her life.

Family was incredibly important to Lydia, and she was a devoted wife and mother. Her husband, Casey N. Burnett stood by her side throughout their journey together.
