Margaret J. “Maggie” Goddard
, 62, of Leesburg, IN died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Mason Health & Rehab Center in Warsaw. She was born on June 5, 1947 in Wabash, IN to Leonard O. & Josephine B. (Miller) Burns.
She was a lifetime area resident and attended North Webster High School. On July 23, 1965 in Leesburg, IN she married James A. “Jim” Goddard who survives. She retired in 2007 from Eurest Dining Services at Zimmer, Inc. in Warsaw. She was formerly employed at Serenade Foods, Inc. in Milford for 28 years, Hooks Drugs & CVS Drugs in North Webster for several years.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Oswego. She enjoyed working with people and always had a smile for everyone.
She is survived by:
Husband – Jim Goddard of Leesburg
1 Son – David Goddard of Cromwell
2 Grandchildren – Jill Goddard & Jeff Goddard, & 1 Gt. Grandson – Bradley Goddard
2 Sisters – Mrs. Eddie (Sandy) Kuhn of Cromwell & Bonnie Burns of Pierceton
1 Brother – Leonard Burns of Warsaw
Numerous nieces, nephews and Gt. nieces & nephews
She was preceded by her parents.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 1, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church of Oswego, 3065 E. Armstrong Road, Leesburg with Pastor’s Rick Smith, Greg Harden, & Mark Kelly of the church officiating. Burial will follow in North Webster Cemetery (Mock Addition).
Memorial bequest may be given to American Cancer Society, 601 West Edison Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
