Margaret McClure “Maw Maw” Smith born December 27, 1926 in Goldston, Texas embarked on her next great adventure on February 2, 2012. Margaret experienced many daring enterprises throughout her life but probably none greater than the love and care of raising her four children. Margaret embraced the philosophy of “Live well, Laugh often and Love God.” Margaret leaves behind a spirited clan of relatives and offspring that will carry on with her lifelong quest.
They include her sister Osta Belle Gregg and Brother Larry McClure and wife Jetta all residing in Texas. One daughter, Susan Nanette Lee, wife of Greg Lee, three sons Ronald Eugene Smith and wife Joan, Clinton Aaron Smith and wife Heidi and Timothy John Smith and wife Tina Ann.
There are 10 Grandchildren. Scott Lee, Carmen, Matt, Joey, Chad and Bryan Smith. Phillip, Patrick, Paul and Hope Brundage.
There are 8 great grandchildren. Gabby, Meadow, & Savannah Lee. Samantha & Alex Smith. Taylor, Owen and Eli Brundage. Two more great grandchildren are expected this month. Baby boy Lee and Baby girl Brundage.
Margaret was reunited with beloved grand-daughter Traci Lee-Godbey who preceded her in the next great adventure in heaven.
Margaret requests in Lieu of flowers please send your donations to Wawasee Lakeside Chapel or Parkview Hospice. Margaret’s favorite verse was Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Grateful thanks from family and friends for your wisdom, guidance and love to help us grow in our spiritual lives.
Reunion dates with Margaret have yet to be determined but a joyous celebration will be had by all family and friends on that occasion. You will be missed Margaret but held in our hearts daily.
A memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Wawasee Lakeside Chapel, 10419 N. Turkey Creek Dr., Syracuse, IN with Pastor Brad Cox of the church officiating.
