Margaret M. "Mert" Helton

Margaret M. “Mert” Helton, 93, of Warsaw, IN passed away at 2:30 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw, IN. She was born on January 23, 1926 in Fort Wayne, IN to Francis B. & Gladys M. (Yonor) Light.

She attended Warsaw High School and was married on December 11, 1944 in Warsaw, IN to Robie Helton who preceded her. She was formerly employed at White Metal in Warsaw for 20 years, CVS in Marion, IN, and Kline Department Store in Warsaw.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 49 in Warsaw and formerly attended the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother – Donald Light, and 4 sisters – Mary Beth Leake, Doris Jones, Lois Davis, and Geraldine Foles.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. There will be no services. Burial will take place in the Silver lake Cemetery.
