Maria Irma (Garza) (Gomez) Villarreal, 72, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 at 8:10 p.m. in Warsaw Meadows Care Center, Warsaw, Indiana.
Maria was born March 16, 1944 in Weslaco, Texas to Felipe and Maria (Medelez) Garza. She and Alonzo Villarreal were married in Weslaco.
Maria lived most of her life in Kosciusko County.
Survivors include her husband: Alonzo Villarreal, Texas; daughter: Sonia M. Gomez, Warsaw; son: Alonzo Esteban (and wife, Amber) Villarreal of Fort Wayne, Indiana; step son: Armando Villarreal; 4 sisters: Margarita G. Ballin, Warsaw; Maria Antonia (Garza) Hernandez, Austin, Texas; Maria Dolores (Garza) Rivera and Diana (Garza) Alvarez – both of Kyle, Texas; 2 brothers: Pedro Garza, Warsaw; and Felipe Garza, Jr., Kyle.
Maria was preceded in passing by her parents: Felipe and Maria Garza, Sr.; and 2 sisters: Viola (Garza) Cruz and Gumesinda (Garza) Salinas.
Friends and family will come together in support of one another Wednesday, March 30th from 4-8 PM in TITUS FUNERAL HOME, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 31st, at 10:30 a.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Father Constantino Rocha of Our Lady of Guadalupe will officiate. Gifts in memory of Maria may be given to a charity of choice.
