Marie E. Cripe, age 88, of Spoonbill Street North, Jacksonville, Florida and formally of Warsaw, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
She was born November 3, 1927 in Avilla, Indiana to Wilmer P. and Alma (Diederich) Weimer. On February 14, 1947 she married Norman Jay Cripe who proceeded her in death on October 24, 2004.
Surviving are their three children: Pastor Terry (Marlene) Cripe of Defiance, Ohio, Melody (John) Hecht of Concord, North Carolina, and Tracy (Theresa) Cripe of Jacksonville, Florida, six grandchildren, Leah (Ben) Rodriguez, Sarah Cripe; Lindsay (Andy) Goolsby, Kristin Hecht; Tara Cripe and Evan Jay Cripe; and 4 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 5th at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1720 East Center Street, Warsaw. Visitation with the family will begin at 10 am and will feature a celebration of music selected by Marie and performed by her dear friend, Professor James Marriott of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri. Her funeral service will follow at 11 am, officiated by the Rev. Dr. James Balke of Orange Park, Florida.
