Marilyn M. Mort passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at 4:12 AM in Warsaw, Indiana home. She was 84.
Marilyn was born September 19, 1931 in North Manchester to Herman and Lillian (Heeter) Martin. She was a 1949 graduate of North Manchester High School.
Marilyn was married to Joseph Mort on October 6, 1950 in North Manchester. He survives. They would move to Kosciusko County where she would live most of her life as a homemaker. Marilyn was a member of First Church-Christ Scientist in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
In addition to her husband she is survived by 4 children: 2 sons: Kevin Mort of St. Petersburg, Florida and Tristan (and Janice) Mort of Syracuse, Indiana; and 2 daughters: Joni (and Bob) Walter of Nappanee, Indiana and Janeen (and Tony) Meinert, Claypool, Indiana; 1 sister: Alberta Giegold, North Manchester, Indiana; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Marilyn was preceded in death by a son: Collin Joseph Mort, (August 21, 2008); 2 brothers: Duane Martin and John Martin; and 1 sister: Alice Wilson.
A private family service will be held.
The family has asked that gifts in Marilyn’s memory be directed to First Church-Christ Scientist, 4242 Buesching Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46815.
The staff of Titus Funeral Home considers it a privilege and an honor to care for the family and friends of Marilyn M. Mort.
