Marilyn Jo Lantz

Marilyn Jo Lantz, 85, of Goshen, IN (formerly of Syracuse, IN) passed away at 12:55 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen. She was born on May 19, 1932 in Portland, IN to Russell Q. & Iva Iris (Miller) Steiner.

She graduated in 1950 from Leo High School & attended the Methodist School of Nursing in Fort Wayne, IN. On August 30, 1953 in Leo, IN she married James E. “Jim” Lantz who survives. She retired on May 30, 1994 from Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville as a Registered Nurse. She moved to Syracuse in 1993 from Kendallville & moved to Goshen in May 2011. She also formerly lived in Anderson, Avilla, Kendallville, Elkhart, Hoagland, & Muncie, IN.

She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse & United Methodist Women.

She was survived by:

Husband – Jim Lantz of Goshen, IN

Daughter – Ann (Agnes) Lantz of Colorado Springs, CO

2 Sons – Steve (Sheri) Lantz of Anderson & Bill (Kathy) Lantz of Syracuse

4 Grand & 3 Gt. Grandchildren

Brother – Griffen (Dorothea) Steiner of New Haven, IN

She was preceded by her parents.

Visitation will be 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN and 1 hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 801 S. Huntington St., Syracuse with Rev. Ann Lantz & Pastor David Henry officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date.
