Marilyn M. Shaffer

Marilyn M. Shaffer, 83, of Warsaw, IN passed away at 5:50 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at her home. She was born on September 20, 1938 in Fort Wayne, IN to Warner & Hazel (Miller) Tennant.

She graduated in 1958 with a B.S. in Elementary Education from Manchester College in North Manchester, IN and 1960 from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN with a Master’s Degree in Education. She was married on June 17, 1961 to William F. Shaffer who passed away on February 17, 2000. She was a homemaker, art teacher, and caregiver. She grew up in Fort Wayne and lived most of her life in Kosciusko County.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and attended the Presbyterian Church in Pierceton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son – Michael Shaffer.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. No public services will be held.

Preferred memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
