Marion B. ‘Bill’ Patty of Goshen, IN (formerly of Syracuse, IN) passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at his home. He was born on July 9, 1936 in Fort Wayne, IN to Marion Francis & Naomi (Bill) Patty.
He graduated in 1954 from Southside High School in Fort Wayne, attended Indiana University in Bloomington for 3 years and then graduated in 1961 from Huntington College. He served in the United States Army Reserves. He was married on October 6, 1962 in Fort Wayne to Nancy E. Showalter who preceded him in death in 1993 and then on November 10, 1994 in Warsaw, IN he married Kathleen R. “Kathi” (Pfeiffer) Myers who survives. He moved to the Dewart Lake area in 1977 from Fort Wayne and retired in 1999 from Art Iron in Fort Wayne & South Bend after 30 years. In December 2011 he moved to Greencroft Retirement Community in Goshen.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in North Webster, Lakeland Kiwanis in North Webster where he formerly served as president of the club, and Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He formerly attended the North Webster Church of God, was a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers & Elks Lodge in Fort Wayne.

2 Step Sons - Matthew (Michelle) Myers of New Paris & Nathan (Cindy) Myers of Wolf Lake
He was preceded by his parents, 1st wife – Nancy Patty, son-in-law – Kim Zurcher, & brother – Thomas Patty.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home with Pastor David Smitley of the church officiating.
