Marjorie L. Greene

Warsaw

Marjorie had a lifelong struggle with alcoholism and sadly lost her battle on May 9th, 2024. We hope her story will help inspire and enrich the lives of others who struggle with addiction and mental illness.

 

Marjorie Lynn Greene was born to Billie and Jennie (Phillips) Hollis on December 8, 1961. She graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1980. After high school, she went on to attend school for cosmetology.

 

In her heart of hearts, she had a zest for taking care of peopleShe had a passion for being in the kitchen and cooking for others. She attended many church services, bible studies, and prayer groups. In her spare time she enjoyed watching the TV program The Golden Girls. Her life was not an easy one but she was not without love. She will be missed by those closest to her. 

 

Marjorie is survived by longtime companion John Durwood Meyers of Warsaw, IN, three sons Jeremiah (Christina) Hollis of Berrien Springs, MIJohnny Greene of Grand Rapids, MI Ryan (Danny Ordonez) Greene of Elkhart, IN, sister, Susan Hollis of NilesMI, four grandchildren, Izik Perez-Greene of Caledonia, MI, Celeste and Aeris Hollis of Berrien Springs, MI, Forrest Greene of Grand Rapids, MI and an uncle David (Cathy) Phillips of Tecumseh, MI.

 

She is preceded in death by father Billie Hollis, mother,  Jennie Hollis, brother, Larry Hollis, aunts, Doris Phillips, Marie Phillips, and Thelma Phillips, and uncle Charles Phillips.

 

A Life Celebration for Marjorie with her son Ryan officiating, will take place on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the New Creation Fellowship Church, 315 Cedar Street, Warsaw.   


Arrangements are entrusted to Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2000 Sheridan Street, Warsaw, IN  46580.
