Marjorie A. Rogers, passed away on April 20, 2024, at Grace Village in Winona Lake, IN at the age of 83.
Born on November 20, 1940, in Fort Wayne, IN, she was the daughter of Kenneth Courtney and Helen (Calloway) Courtney. Marjorie graduated from Elmhurst High School, Fort Wayne, In. and later from beauty school.
Marjorie's professional life was marked by a strong work ethic and attention to detail. In the 1950s, she wired joysticks for B-52 airplanes at Bowmar in Fort Wayne. Later, she dedicated many years to Biomet as a trimmer for knee implants. Her career path reflects her commitment to precision and excellence.
Outside of work, Marjorie found joy in various hobbies. She enjoyed cross stitching, quilting, and drawing. After moving to Grace Village, she discovered a newfound passion for art classes. Her creativity was also precise in art class too. Known for her loving and generous nature, Marjorie was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her personality shone through in all aspects of her life - from work to hobbies.
Marjorie is survived by her two sons: Timothy R. Rogers (wife, Michelle) of Winona Lake and Stephen M. Rogers (wife, Amy) of Warsaw. She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Courtney Wallen, Brittony Rogers, Ariel Rogers, Morgan Kerns (husband, Josh), and Zoe Rogers. In addition to her grandchildren, Marjorie is survived by eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in passing by sister, Karen Miller and her parents: Kenneth and Helen Courtney.
