Marjorie A. "Anne" Sickmiller

Marjorie A. "Anne" Sickmiller, 84, of Leesburg, IN passed away at 9:05 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, IN. She was born on August 12, 1929 in Wabash, IN to Walter Porter & Mabel Agnes (Yopst) Schlemmer.

She graduated in 1947 from Wabash High School and attended the School of Arts in Chicago, IL.  She was married in 1986 to Earl Sickmiller who preceded her in 2002. She retired in 1993 from U.S. Gypsum Company in Wabash after 14 years of service and formerly worked at Data Vue in Wabash, Wabash License Branch, & was a Trustee Clerk in Wabash. After retirement she moved to the Leesburg area in 1994.

She was a member of the Wabash Christian Church and the Delta Theta Tau Sorority. She also served as secretary of the Lake Tippecanoe Property Owners Association.

She is survived by:
2 Daughters – Holly LaSalle of O’Fallon, IL &Julie (Art) Reimer of Leesburg
Son – Gary (Lynn) Hartman of Russiaville
9 Grand & 10 Gt. Grandchildren
Brother – Robert (Barbara) Schlemmer of Venice, FL

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters – Jean Craft & Lucille Christiansen, & companion – Jim Chapman.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating.

Memorial bequest may be given to American Legion Post 253, North Webster, IN 46555 or Lake Tippecanoe Property Owners Association P.O. Box 224, Leesburg, IN 46538. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
