Marjorie J. (Mag) Wiles, 88, of Syracuse died at 4:25 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009 at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse, IN. She was born on March 22, 1921 in Syracuse, IN to Merl & Wava (Gordon) Laughlin.
She graduated in 1939 from Syracuse High School and was a lifetime Syracuse area resident. She was married on May 2, 1939 in Syracuse, IN to Robert W. (Bob) Wiles who preceded her on January 22, 2006. She retired in 1983 from Dana Corporation in Syracuse after 30 years of service.
She is survived by:
1 Daughter - Judith Keck of Syracuse
1 Son - Gary (wife, Pat) Wiles of Syracuse
7 Grand, 9 Gt. Grand, & several Gt. Gt. Grandchildren
1 Brother - Merl Laughlin of Syracuse
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister - Francis Trimmer, 2 brothers - Dewey & Archie Laughlin.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at the Syracuse Cemetery with Rev. Bob Wyman of the North Webster Church of the Brethren officiating.
Memorial bequest may be given to the Marjorie Wiles Funeral Fund c/o Owen Family Funeral Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
