Mark Wayne Douglas, 62, of Silver Lake, Indiana passed away Monday, October 28, 2013 in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Mark was born October 31, 1950 in Buckhannon, West Virginia to Robert Kale and Alma Ruby (Manley) Douglas.
On December 23, 1968 in Marion, Ohio, Mark and Janet Agnes Hiler were married.
Mark was a truck driver for 39 years and owned and operated his own rig.
He loved to play cards, go fishing and work on cars.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Janet Douglas; son, David Douglas; and daughter, Jodi Pruitt - all of Silver Lake; 4 grandchildren: Tim Jayne, Paige Pruitt and Courtney Pruit of Silver Lake and Jacinda Wuthrich of Burket, Indiana; 2 great grandchildren: Emma and Ayden; and a sister and brother-in-law: Jerri and Glen Miley of Marion, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: David Douglas and Robert Douglas, Jr.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Wednesday, October 30th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A celebration of Mark's life will be held Thursday morning, October 31st at 10:00 on what would have been his 63rd birthday. Burial will take place at a later date in Marion.
The family has asked that gifts in Mark's memory be given to K-21 Health Foundation Cancer Care Fund, PO Box 1810, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1810.
