Martha Elaine Mudd passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019 in Fort Wayne at Lutheran Hospital. She was 64 years old.
Born on November 11, 1954 in Whitley County, Marti, as most knew her, was the daughter of Ralph G. and Marjorie G. (Snyder) Kaiser. She was a 1974 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. On April 26, 1975, Marti was united in marriage to Ron Mudd; the two would share nearly 45 years together before her Thursday afternoon passing.
Simply put, Marti was a caregiver; she was a devoted mother and grandmother and a dedicated provider of in-home care for more than twenty years. That giving, selfless nature was appropriate for Marti who fiercely loved the Lord and whose favorite book was the Bible. She was a member of Branches Vineyard Church in Warsaw. Truly dedicated to family she loved time spent with her family, loved road trips and liked to travel. She was also a gifted piano player who was mostly self-taught; she played in the church and at several area nursing facilities.
A short list of those who survive with memories to cherish include her husband: Ron Mudd of Warsaw; six children: Shaun (Eva) Mudd of Mentone, Ethan Mudd of Warsaw, Jeremy (Megan) Mudd of Warsaw, Tiffany Peterson of Warsaw, Tyler Mudd of Fort Wayne and Christa (Jeff) Harman of Warsaw and seven grandchildren: Jocelyn, Charles, James, Grady, Noah, Kiira and Lena. Also surviving are three sisters, Marcia (Jack) Farrell, Marilyn (Eric) Oest and Gloria (Chuck) Forbus. She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters: Leah Mudd and Natalie Mudd.
A Life Celebration® has been planned with Titus Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 29 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Warsaw Church of God, 1059 Rozella Road, Warsaw. On Wednesday at 11 o’clock, Pastor Tom Diecks will officiate Marti’s funeral service with burial following in Oakwood Cemetery.
