Martha Ellen Perry, known to many as “Marti,” passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020. She was 79 years of age.
Marti was born on October 18, 1940 in Warsaw. She was the daughter of Everett and Jeanette (Tully) Perry. She was a graduate of Warsaw High School and attended First Christian Church for several years.
Marti attended Illinois Wesleyan and Wayne State University. She earned a master's degree in social work, a field she worked in many areas of, for many years. She was a member of Cross in the Desert United Methodist Church, Arizona where she sang in the choir. She sponsored children from other countries through the years. She loved music, art, and animals.
She is survived by two nieces, Patricia (Dwayne) Evans and Terrye (Dean) Peters; three great-nieces and great-nephews: Jeremy (Sara) Evans, Renee Marker & Jason (Jenessa) Peters; and four great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews: Sophia Marker, Brady Marker, Colette Evans and Caroline Evans. Marti was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Elizabeth Keller.
Friends may join visitors at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street in Warsaw for visitation on Saturday, August 22, 2020 beginning at 10 a.m. At Noon, Pastor Brian Smith of First United Methodist Church, Warsaw will officiate Marti’s funeral and committal services. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
