Martha J. Tucker, 86, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 2:30 AM in Mason's Health & Rehabilitation, Warsaw, Indiana.
The daughter of Donald and Edna (Tschantz) Thacker, Martha was born December 22, 1927 in Silver Lake, Indiana. She was a 1945 graduate of Silver Lake High School.
Martha lived most of her life in Warsaw and was operations manager for Lake City Bank for 38 years.
She attended Warsaw Community Church, Warsaw and was a member of the Warsaw Moose Lodge and the Salvation Army Auxiliary.
Survivors include: 2 daughters: Nancy Kriner and Jackie Bettinger, both of Warsaw; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law: Rick Bettinger, Warsaw, and Donald and Marla Bettinger of Taiwan; brother: Max Thacker of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death is her first husband: Verle Bettinger (January 12, 1993), second husband: John T. Knowles (December 11, 1980), third husband: H. Dale Tucker (July 30, 2002), son: Roger L. Bettinger (April 21, 2013); step son: Michael Knowles (July 20, 1998) and step daughter: Patricia Seiffert (February 28, 2001).
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Saturday, January 11th from 10 AM - 12 Noon at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A celebration of Martha's life will follow beginning at 12 Noon with Pastor E.J. Underwood of Warsaw Community Church officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
The family has asked that gifts in Martha's memory be directed to Alzheimer's Association, 922 E. Colfax Avenue, South Bend, Indiana 46617.
